This week I researched '10
reasons why Ireland is a good place to do business'.
1) Ireland's Economy: IDA Ireland identified that Ireland is stable,
competitive, secure and pro-business with it being the fastest growing economy
in the Eurozone. This gives anyone looking to do business a feeling of security
and safety.
2) Availability of Skilled
Labour: According to MGI Worldwide, Ireland's workforce is young, flexible,
adaptable and mobile, with strong educations. This ensures that businesses can find
skilled workers here and their business has the best opportunity to strive
here.
3) Low corporation tax rate:
MGI Worldwide has identified that Ireland has a low corporate tax rate of
12.5%. This allows businesses to have more
money to invest in their operations.
4) Modern Infrastructure: According to
IDA Ireland, Ireland's infrastructure is resilient and flexible. This benefits the quality of life and ease of
access.
5) Technologically advanced country: IDA Ireland has identified that Ireland have been chosen by leaders of the tech industry (Apple, Microsoft etc) as a country for their major European operations.
6) English speaking
country: According to MGI Worldwide, Ireland is only one of two countries in Europe to primarily speak English. English is spoken globally which makes it essential for business.
7) Good track record for
businesses: MGI Worldwide outlined that Ireland has over 1,000 multinational corporations who are continuing to expand their facilities due to the profitability and success they have had.
8) Laws and Regulations: Gov.ie outlines the set of laws and regulations that Ireland have established which protect individuals and businesses such as IP laws and Copyright Regulations.
9) FDI: Chartered Accountants identified that Ireland is regarded highly in terms of attracting high-value FDI. High-value FDI benefits factors like tax incentives and easy international trade which are good for business.
10) Employment: RTE stated that the employment rate in Ireland is at highest level since records began in 1998. High employment rates reflect to strong economic growth.
